Jayco Saves Time in Document Management, And It’s Only Scratching the Surface of What’s Possible with Revver

Jayco has been serving up family fun and adventure for more than 50 years. In that time, they have manufactured 1.2 million RVs in dozens of styles and varieties, such as camping trailers, travel trailers, tent campers, and motorhomes. Every year, they deliver tens of thousands of units to dealers across North America. They put customer needs first, constantly innovating in their RV designs to add the latest technology.

Most manufacturers don’t realize how much time their teams are quietly losing just trying to find the right document across shared drives, systems, and email. At Jayco, the biggest problem wasn’t creating documents. It was being able to reliably find and use them when it mattered.

In 2025, Jayco was developing new online presences and incorporating new technologies to better support their dealer partners and end customers. In order to do that, Jayco needed a centralized and managed document management system that was easy to use and could provide a flexible platform with workflow and integration capabilities for both internal and external customers. In other words, document management software was at the top of their must-have list.

When asked what Jayco’s biggest challenge was in managing documents, Director of Information Technology Chris Laware answered, “Finding them! Jayco produces thousands of documents a week, but they were always scattered throughout our network or in a couple of systems. The documents couldn’t be controlled easily, re-used or distributed without checking various locations digitally within the company.” In some cases, teams were spending 30–45 minutes locating the right technical information while supporting customers.

Jayco wasn’t looking for more features. They needed a way to control documents without disrupting how their teams already worked or replacing existing systems.

When Jayco started evaluating document management systems, they had a clear set of features in mind:

• Document control
• Versioning
• Workflow and routing approvals
• API access
• Smart AI integration to read documents, and 
• Single interface without any clients or extra apps required

There were several document management solutions they considered and tested, including a homegrown system. They whittled down their options until they came down to Revver and M-Files. Revver won out for a simple reason, as Laware explains: “In the end, Revver provided the best value proposition from a cost and functionality standpoint to satisfy Jayco’s requirements.” Importantly, Revver fit alongside Jayco’s existing systems without requiring major process changes or replacing core platforms. Revver checked all of the boxes on their list, especially the last one, which had a big positive impact on their operations.

Three features in Revver that have had the biggest impact on Jayco so far are smart extraction, full text search, and the folder mapping/document loading automation. “We don’t have to worry about metadata because it can be extracted during loading,” Laware explained. “The full text search capability makes it almost impossible to ‘not find’ a document within Revver, reducing time spent supporting customers and speeding up issue resolution. The automated application for loading documents with folder monitoring means we didn’t have to rework a number of Jayco’s internal processes to get documents into Revver. We can grab new documents automatically, load them into Revver and classify/place them accordingly without any human interaction.”

Revver developed the Folder Mapping App as part of its product roadmap in response to common needs seen across customers, including Jayco. It allows users to create a folder on their desktop that instantly uploads any file put into it to Revver. And each uploaded file is automatically classified and stored in the proper folder. This allowed Jayco to automate document capture without asking employees to change how they save or manage files.The Folder Mapping App has since become a standard capability available to all Revver customers.

The process of switching to Revver has been both swift and simple for Jayco “It’s been an easy transition,” Laware said. “With a few training sessions and developing some very short training videos, most of our non-technical users are using Revver successfully in under an hour.”

After Jayco got set up with the document management software, they discovered that they were able to put their documents to better use. For example, Revver’s Advanced Search feature has freed up a lot of time for employees to do other work. “One pain point was the amount of time spent researching issues and finding supporting information in our service group,” Laware noted. “Our customer support teams could spend upwards of 30-45 minutes finding technical information across our network while helping out a customer. Revver has already cut that time to less than 10 minutes due to its robust search capabilities and the ease with which we can automate and load documents from across the enterprise. As Jayco expands Revver’s use and incorporates more document types, that time is expected to drop even further.”

This shift has freed up significant time across customer support, allowing teams to handle more requests without increasing headcount.
